- The Lights of LA County by Lyle Lovett. After having the CD for 15 years I head a few words that didn’t make sense in context then I realized I was the one who got the context song. Listen to it and you will get caught up in it’s playfulness , optimism and joy. And like me you might not pay attention to the lyrics.
- Cold Ethyl by Alice Cooper . He doesn’t really try to hide the meaning or anything but it is a subject I doubt anyone of us will be comfortable as a song topic. Hence : shock rock.
- Everyone’s Gone To The Movies by Steely Dan. Actually I wonder if the infamous Different Strokes episode titled The Bicycle Man was patterned after this song. Mr. LaPage will forever be a code name among those who I define as hip.
